Metro
Lille has many metro, bus and tramway lines.
Wherever you come from, you should aim for the line 1 of the metro. It serves the campus of Lille 1 with the Cité Scientifique Pr. Gabillard station.
Self-service bike
The nearest V'lille station is at the Triolo metro station. After that you still need to walk 1.5 km to reach the school.
Car
Many parkings are open on the campus, including the one of the school with 180 places.
Train
There are two main train stations: Lille Flandres and Lille Europe. There are located in the city-centre and it takes 5-10 minutes to move from one to the other, whether it be by foot or metro (1 station).
Plane
If you come from the Lille-Lesquin airport, a shuttle can take you (even on sunday) to the city-centre, where you'll find the metro lines.
We recommend 2 areas to those who do not know Lille.
Next to the city
If you want to spend the night in bars and other festive places, you should look for an accommodation in the city-centre of Lille. That's where you'll find animation!
Next to science
If you are more reasonable, there is a cluster of hotels in the Parc de la Haute Borne, on the other side of the campus (20 minutes walk / 5 minutes by car).
You can also opt for an AirBNB in the neighbourhoods of Villeneuve d'Ascq.
Note: scientists can also party in town but they'll have leave their mates around midnight to catch the last subway :).
